An East End Gingerbread Village

Hoping to add some East End flair to the holiday season, Valerie Smith, the owner of the Monogram Shop on Newtown Lane in East Hampton, decided she wanted a window display of gingerbread houses with a classic cedar shingle architectural style. She commissioned Brenda Nibley, a Utah resident and the owner of gingergiddy.com, a company that makes gingerbread house kits, to bring her vision to life.

Sea Floor Measurements Underway for Wind Farm Cable

People visiting ocean beaches from East Hampton to Sagaponack on Sunday were surprised to behold the Loredo Brazos, a massive barge standing out of the water just offshore at the end of Beach Lane in Wainscott. The barge and a second vessel are conducting survey work for a transmission cable for the proposed South Fork Wind farm, to be situated approximately 35 miles off Montauk.
