Arrest Follows Accident

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the people who burglarized a Bridgehampton house in December and made off with a number of items, including a Breguet Marine watch worth thousands of dollars. Surveillance video shows four people entering the house on Ocean Road at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Dec. 8. The Swiss timepiece they snatched has a serial number of 5071 and retails for between $15,000 and $35,000. The men’s watch is made of stainless steel, with Roman numerals for the hours.
Silas Hiscock Sr., a Bridgehampton resident and the owner of Hampton Tank in the hamlet, has died from injuries he sustained in a crash at the Riverhead Raceway on Saturday afternoon.
