Sag Harbor Village Mayor Thomas Gardella is in hot water over a social media post some say was insensitive to the L.G.B.T.Q. community.

Georgette Sloane of Georgette’s restaurant, which opened in the 1970s overlooking Three Mile Harbor, died in New York City on Jan. 25. She was 99.

Carmine DiSunno, the patriarch of the DiSunno family of Amagansett and the “son” of the Mike DiSunno and Son excavating company, died on Sunday of complications of kidney failure. He was 85.

Patricia Louise Scofield Burnett, who was involved in starting the Springs Food Pantry, died at home in Springs on Feb. 24 at the age of 98.
