State Awards Contracts for Two More Offshore Wind Farms
Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo announced on Thursday that Sunrise Wind, a joint venture of the Danish energy company Orsted and the Connecticut company Eversource, and Empire Wind, proposed by the Norwegian company Equinor, have each been awarded contracts to develop offshore wind farms — one of them some 30 miles east of Montauk.

Cuomo's Office for New Americans offered tips earlier this week on what to do if federal immigration enforcement authorities arrive at people's homes or workplaces or approach them in public.
Cement Block Hurled at Tesla
A Greenlawn man was charged with a felony after throwing a cement block through the windshield and rear window of a 2018 Tesla that was parked at a rental house on Big Reed Path in Montauk on Saturday night, East Hampton Town police said.
