Read All of The Star's COVID-19 Coverage for Free

Sat, 03/14/2020 - 13:23

In the interest of keeping our readers and our community informed about health-related matters as we all grapple with the COVID-19 outbreak, this week The East Hampton Star removed the paywall for all of its virus coverage, meaning that you can read these stories for free whether you are a subscriber or not.

Our small staff has been reporting daily on the impacts of the virus, school closures and community cancellations, and other pertinent information, including -- on a lighter note -- things to do while maintaining a safe social distance, as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control. There have been a number of COVID-19 cases on the East End, including in East Hampton Town, but Southold Town is so far at the epicenter of the East End outbreak. Our colleagues at The Suffolk Times have been reporting admirably on the virus and its effects on the North Fork community.

We are all navigating strange new waters, but our journalists are determined to continue providing you with updated, relevant, and important news. You can read online and also opt-in to free news alerts or our regular weekly newsletter.

Take care of yourselves. And please consider subscribing to support the efforts of the hardworking journalists at your hometown paper.

Your support for The East Hampton Star helps us deliver the news, arts, and community information you need. Whether you are an online subscriber, get the paper in the mail, delivered to your door in Manhattan, or are just passing through, every reader counts. Your subscription to The Star does more than get you great arts, news, sports, and outdoors stories. It makes everything we do possible.
