The East Hampton Town Board voted to allow for adjudication of code violations by an administrative bureau established last year to expedite the processing of minor violations. The town is seeking a director for the bureau, a prerequisite for putting it into effect.

There were 533 takeoffs and landings at East Hampton Town Airport — and 1,265 complaints about them made to just one of the two systems to register such complaints — between May 26 and May 30.

The Pollock-Krasner House, East Hampton Village, the Montauk Anglers Club and Marina, and Concerned Citizens of Montauk were chosen from a larger pool of candidates to receive money from East Hampton Town.

Legislation to increase and protect access to water supply, sponsored by State Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele Jr., has been approved by both the Assembly and the Senate, and is awaiting the governor’s signature.
