Constance Miller Hoagland of East Hampton Village had a successful career in Greenwich, Conn., as a real estate broker, but many here will remember her from the Monogram Shop on Newtown Lane. She died at home on May 30.
Donna M. Zingarelli, who in 1976 opened Michael’s Restaurant in Maidstone Park with her first husband, died on June 3 at the Westhampton Care Center of complications from a 2020 stroke. She was 77.
The Parrish Art Museum board has chosen Mónica Ramírez-Montagut, who was educated in Spain and Mexico, and most recently ran an art museum at Michigan State University. She will take the place of Kelly Taxter, who resigned in December after less than a year on the job.
Word has been received of the death of Robert A. Brody, a podiatrist who lived year round on Sulky Circle in East Hampton. Dr. Brody died of cancer in New York City on April 18.
Susan Ellen Dottin of Southampton, a former resident of East Hampton and Sag Harbor, died on April 23 at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. She was 68, and had been ill for a year.
A celebration of life for Wendy Elizabeth Flanagan of Sag Harbor will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Sylvester Manor on Shelter Island. Mrs. Flanagan, who was 51, died on May 18.
This whaling log kept by Alfred Washington Foster (1822-1886) chronicles two voyages on the barks Columbia and Roanoke between 1845 and 1861.
