As Covid Numbers Fall, New York to Adopt C.D.C.'s Guidance on Masks
Effective Wednesday in New York, people who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 no longer need to wear masks or physically distance, both indoors and out. Immunocompromised and unvaccinated people should continue to wear a mask and practice social distancing, and masks will still be required in schools and correctional and health care facilities, on public transportation and in nursing homes and homeless shelters.
Take Southampton Town's Marijuana Survey
In light of New York State's legalization of marijuana, which Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo signed on March 31, the Town of Southampton is considering how to regulate its retail sale and use at cafés and lounges, specifics that are left to the discretion of local municipalities.
Minor Damage at Moby's After Early Morning Fire
"We're grateful that the small fire at the restaurant last week caused only minimal damage and everyone is safe, thanks to our local firefighters who acted quickly," a spokesperson for the restaurant said yesterday.
