Effective Wednesday in New York, people who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 no longer need to wear masks or physically distance, both indoors and out. In light of New York State's legalization of marijuana, which Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo signed on March 31, the Town of Southampton is considering how to regulate its retail sale and use at cafés and lounges, specifics that are left to the discretion of local municipalities.
"We're grateful that the small fire at the restaurant last week caused only minimal damage and everyone is safe, thanks to our local firefighters who acted quickly," a spokesperson for the restaurant said yesterday. "We're working closely with the Town of East Hampton . . . to reopen better than ever by Memorial Day weekend.
