Honda Came From Behind

Wed, 02/03/2021 - 16:40

Christine King, 54, of East Hampton was turning left from Springs-Fireplace Road onto Gardiner's Avenue in Springs on the evening of Jan. 27 when a Honda came from behind and tried to pass her. Instead, it collided with her 2015 Ford, she told East Hampton Town police.

Sydney Sessions of Glen Allen, Va., 25, confirmed that she had crossed the double yellow line in trying to pass the Ford, and had run off the road following the collision, into a split-rail fence.

Ms. King was taken to Southampton Stony Brook Hospital by Springs ambulance for bruises to her forehead and released after treatment. Ms. Sessions's car was towed by Fireplace Auto Collision.

Icy roads made for treacherous conditions on Northwest Landing Road, East Hampton, on Jan. 26 at 10:15 a.m., and again on Monday morning at the intersection of Springs-Fireplace Road and Abraham's Path in East Hampton. Neither driver was injured.
