Concerned Citizens of Montauk’s Great Montauk Cleanup happens on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those  planning to help keep the hamlet pristine have been asked to meet at the  C.C.O.M. office at 6 South Elmwood Avenue, where gloves, hand sanitizer, and a reusable sack can be collected.

Volunteers can participate in a raffle, with prizes from businesses including Balsam Farms, Joni’s Cafe, Montauk Brewing Company, Hampton Coffee Company, and Montaukila. The rain date is April 25.

The East Hampton Trails Preservation Society will host a three-mile hike of the North Neck Trail, one of Montauk’s newest, on Saturday at 10 a.m. The group will pass Tupelo Stone and the enormous North Neck Oak. At the end of the main hike, the hardiest hikers may continue into the Culloden Point Preserve for an additional, and optional, 2.5 miles leading to the bay.

The place to meet is at the Culloden Point historical marker, about 400 feet north of Wills Point Road on the west side of Flamingo Avenue. Snacks, liquids, and tick protection are recommended. Richard Whalen can be contacted at [email protected] or 631-725-8539 for more information.

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation will host seal hikes on Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m., with hikers asked to meet at the park office at the Montauk Point State Park lower parking lot. The cost is $4 per person, free for children under 3. Binoculars and appropriate clothing and footwear have been suggested.

Reservations, which are required, and more information can be had by calling the park at 631-668-5000 or visiting parks.ny.gov
