Bridgehampton

A Walgreen’s employee called police on Sunday afternoon after spotting a woman stealing two Rogaine items and recognizing her and her male companion as the pair who had previously stolen from the store on Dec. 19. The woman took Rogaine Men 5PR foam and Rogaine Men 5-percent solution, each worth $53.99, off a shelf and put them in her bag. As she and the man left the store, she tossed aspirin and Polident into a shopping basket. The employee told police they got into a black Toyota Prius, which was waiting for them outside.

Packages delivered to Wei Shih Tsai’s front porch on Renee’s Way were stolen on two occasions, on Feb. 6 and Feb. 17. She told police on Feb. 20 that the things in the packages — miscellaneous household items and shoes — were worth $500.

Most of the windows at a house on Cedar Street were broken and the side door was dislodged, Robert Jones, a neighbor, reported to police on Feb. 21. He said the house had looked okay two days earlier, but on the night of Feb. 20 he noticed the vandalism. He used to be a part owner of the house, and said there was nothing of value in it.

East Hampton Village

A transmitter was stolen on the morning of Feb. 24 while a worker was marking underground utilities on Baiting Hollow Road. The man said he put the yellow and black transmitter on the west shoulder of the road by East Hollow, while marking out  the area. When he reached Buckskill Road, he lost connection with the transmitter. He went back to the spot where he’d left it and it was gone. He contacted his supervisor, who told police the equipment is worth $1,500. Detectives are investigating.

Village police assisted the East Hampton Middle School with a lockdown drill on the morning of Feb. 25.

Springs

An East Hampton man told police he was trying to move through a large crowd at the Springs Tavern on Fort Pond Boulevard on Feb. 15 at about 1:10 a.m., when a man pushed him as he was making his way to the bar. Estuardo Quiroz-Saltos said he proceeded to buy two drinks and when he was about to take the drinks away, another man pushed him and the first man punched him. He tried to defend himself and was surrounded by four men before security stepped in and escorted him outside. When he went to police at about 10 a.m., he had a black eye and a scratch on his neck, and complained of pain in his nose and head. He told police he would go to the hospital after filing a report. He said he wanted to pursue charges.

Emily Young, who has a company called Brass & Burl, which mainly deals in online sales of furniture, went to police on Feb. 7 after she received an email from a man who said his credit card had been charged $913 for a chair that he never purchased. She found a Jan. 15 order placed by a man with the same name for a Mathise Occasional Chair. The chair was shipped to an address in Dallas, and delivered on Jan. 23. She wanted the incident documented as she pursues compensation.
