Robert Emmett Gosman, who with his family built Gosman’s Dock from a modest chowder house on Montauk Harbor to an expansive complex of restaurants, shops, and a wholesale and retail seafood business, died last Thursday. He was 89.
Joseph S. Hull, who served as the grand marshal of the Montauk Friends of Erin St. Patrick’s Day Parade in 1988, died on May 23. He split his time between Englewood, Fla., and Montauk.
The iconic movie that premiered in the summer of 1975 and scared swimmers away from the water will once again come to life when Capt. Pat Mundus, daughter of the famed shark hunter Capt. Frank Mundus, will speak at the Cutchogue Library on the 50th anniversary of the film.
