Kathleen Mulcahy was sworn in as mayor of Sag Harbor Village at the village board’s organizational meeting on Monday following an upset in the June 18 election when she defeated Sandra Schroeder, the two-term incumbent.
While many fitness and yoga studios will be closed for the holiday today, Jamie Lerner Fitness and Dance will be open at two locations. The Core Plus class will meet at the Body Shop at 26 Newtown Lane in East Hampton at 8:30 a.m., and Core Plus: Fit for Practice will take place at the Springs Presbyterian Church at 4:30 p.m.
Each class is one hour, and the cost is $25 at the Body Shop, $20 at the church.
In a lecture called “1969: The Year That Pointed the Way” on Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the Rogers Memorial Library, Clive Young, an author, will explore the moon landing, Woodstock, the distinctive music of the time, and fashion trends.
