11-Year-Old Killed on Bicycle in Sagaponack
According to the Southampton Town Police Department, an 11-year-old boy was struck by a pickup truck and killed on Townline Road in Sagaponack at 5:28 p.m. last Thursday.
Service for Roger Walker, Former East Hampton Town Justice
A funeral for Roger Walker, a former East Hampton Town justice, will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church. Mr. Walker, who was 91, died at home in Wainscott on Sunday and will be buried at the Wainscott Cemetery. A full obituary will appear in a future issue.

To that end, Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone has announced a new Citizens Preparedness Academy, which is also focused on making sure citizens of differing abilities are getting the necessary disaster prep.
