Oktoberfest at Rowdy Hall

Rowdy Hall in Amagansett will celebrate Oktoberfest with a German two-course prix fixe for $42 starting Saturday and continuing through Oct. 5, daily from 5 p.m. on.

From Saturday through next Thursday, the main course is knockwurst and bratwurst with German potato salad and spicy beer mustard. Dessert is apple cake with honey and almonds.

From Friday, Sept. 26, through Sept. 30, the entree is a pork chop with potato pancake and warm apple sauce. A molten chocolate Black Forest cake with cherry compote and whipped cream is the dessert.

Part three, from Oct. 1 through Oct. 5, will feature Wiener schnitzel with braised red cabbage and golden beets, followed by apple strudel with pecans, apple caramel, and whipped cream.

The restaurant will also offer a tasting flight for $16 that includes 10-ounce pours of three German beers. Pints will be available as well for $8. Not only that: Bavarian pretzels with beer mustard and German beer cheese with rye toast will be on offer all day at bar seats only.

Specials at Bell and Anchor

Daily specials have returned to the Bell and Anchor restaurant in Noyac. Tuesday is chicken Milanese night, featuring the poultry classic with mixed greens, shaved fennel, cherry tomatoes, Parmesan, and champagne vinaigrette.

Lobster night happens on Wednesdays, with one of three preparations: lobster garganelli with corn, basil, and saffron cream, steamed one-and-a-half-pound lobster with haricots verts and fingerling potatoes, and butter-poached lobster tail and grilled filet mignon with the same green beans and potatoes.

Bouillabaisse is on the menu on Thursdays. The dish includes whitefish, a lobster tail, mussels, clams, and shrimp in a tomato-saffron broth.

Sunday is moules frites night, with steamed mussels and fries one of two ways. “Anchor style” features coconut milk, lemongrass, and Thai chiles. “Beacon style” includes garlic, white wine, lemon-thyme, cream, and tomatoes.

For Rosh Hashana

Nick and Toni’s in East Hampton will offer a la carte specials for the Jewish New Year on Monday and Wednesday, or until they run out. Matzo ball soup is the appetizer, and red wine braised short ribs, roasted golden beets, and pomegranate seeds are the main course. Dessert is honey walnut rugelach.

The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays.

News From Almond

Almond restaurant’s L&W Market in Bridgehampton has Rosh Hashana comestibles available for takeout. Orders must be placed on the website by 6 p.m. on Sunday for pickup on Tuesday.

Appetizers and platters include mezze combo, crudité platter, matzo ball soup, chopped liver, and smoked bluefish spread. Red wine-braised brisket, whole roasted chicken, and braised duck Sephardic style are the main courses. Side dishes include baby carrots, sautéed greens, roasted fingerling potatoes, challah, and noodle kugel. Apple crisp is the dessert.

Almond is offering a two-course $39 prix fixe menu Monday through Thursday nights. Meatless Monday features a meatless prix fixe all night for $39. A $25 burger and beer special is available on Tuesdays, and on Wednesdays bottomless mussels and fries can be had for the same price.

Margaritas and martinis are $10 on Thursdays, and Saturday is karaoke night with D.J. Lama starting at 9:30.
