Rowdy Hour at Happy Hall

Rowdy Hall in Amagansett has announced a new happy-hour menu that will be available Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. Drink specials include Prosecco, a Hugh Spritz, rosé, Reissdorf Kölsch fermented beer, a half-pint of Guinness with a shot of Irish whiskey, and a martini.

Food offerings are oysters or clams on the half shell, jumbo shrimp cocktail, clams casino served with a toasted baguette, and crispy rice with spicy tuna.

News From Il Buco al Mare

Victoria Blamey, whose brief tenure at Mena restaurant in New York City received raves from The New York Times, has joined the team at Il Buco al Mare to lead a new initiative: Al Mare at Home, which will have her and a team preparing meals for 10 and more at private homes.

Il Buco Bakery is bringing its naturally leavened, cold-slow-fermented sourdough bread to the Amagansett, East Hampton Village, and Sag Harbor farmers markets on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Burgundy Tasting

Park Place Wines and Liquors will launch its summer wine class series next Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. with Demystifying Burgundy, a class exploring the nuances that make Burgundy “the holy grail of wine lovers,” according to the shop.

Wines will be paired with light bites from the Cookery in East Hampton. Tickets are $50 and not refundable.

Barbecue Menu

Art of Eating’s barbecue menu is available for preorder on Monday for pickup Thursday through Sunday. The menu includes baby back ribs, watermelon barbecue sauce, crispy buttermilk fried chicken, old-school baked beans, potato salad, and firecracker slaw.

Priced at $265, it feeds four to six people.

Florence Fabricant Trades Places

For the first time in 15 years, Florence Fabricant, the prominent food and wine writer, will be the guest, not the host, of Guild Hall's Stirring the Pot series of culinary conversations.
