Almond restaurant in Bridgehampton will serve a locally sourced five-course prix fixe menu starting Wednesday at 9 p.m. Priced at $150, plus tax and gratuity, the meal will start with beet-cured striped bass gravlax with crème fraîche, smoked trout roe, and pumpernickel crisp.
The second-course choices are yellowfin tuna poke with sticky rice, avocado, and Kimchi Jews yellow sriracha mayonnaise; lobster lettuce wraps with cauliflower remoulade and pickled celery root, and venison sausage with sauerkraut, cranberry mostarda, and pretzels.
Next will come a queso tamal with beurre rouge, lion’s mane “ribeye,” black truffles, and a quail egg. The main courses include short rib Bourguignon with spinach, sunchokes, and bacon; duck breast with caramelized parsnips and endive, and pomegranates, and simmered Peconic Bay scallops with murasaki sweet potatoes, smoked daikon, enokis, and caviar. Dessert is chocolate-banana babka bread pudding with banana brulee, corn nuts, and banana Heath Bar ice cream.
Guests will receive party favors and a champagne toast. The a la carte menu will be available earlier in the evening.
Artists and Writers
Also at Almond, the Artists and Writers dinner series will return on Jan. 5 at 6 p.m. with the artist Claire Watson. The recipient of many grants and residencies, Ms. Watson recently had a solo show at the Drawing Room Gallery in East Hampton and will have a one-artist exhibition at Guild Hall in 2026.
A three-course family-style meal will be served with one glass of wine or draft beer for $55, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required.
