Harvest Wine Dinner
East Hampton’s 1770 House is teaming up with Balsam Farms and Channing Daughters Winery to create a harvest wine dinner next Thursday evening starting at 6. The $150 prix fixe includes a five-course menu by Michael Rozzi, the chef, and wine pairings by Michael Cohen, the wine director.
The first course will feature Montauk striped bass cured in nori dust and smoked salt, paired with a 2023 tocai friulano, Sylvanus Vineyard. That will be followed by Shinnecock fluke with savoy cabbage, leeks, and saffron, served with a 2018 L’Enfant Sauvage chardonnay.
A local honey and lavender-lacquered Long Island duck breast with cornbread and cubanelle pepper chutney will be accompanied by a 2020 lagrein, Home Farm Vineyard. The fourth course is a braised Wagyu beef cheek with black garlic and sweet soy, served with a 2019 petit verdot and a 2020 syrah, both from Mudd West Vineyard.
The meal will conclude with an apple poached in late harvest wine with a cider donut, caramel, pecan, and vanilla gelato, paired with a 2017 Muscat de Boom.
Pizza Is Back
Wood-burning-oven pizzas have returned to Nick and Toni’s in East Hampton. Available Sunday through Thursday for dine-in or takeout, the options are pizza al forno with house-made mozzarella and basil; roasted butternut squash with marinated tomato and ricotta salata; Lioni Burrata with tomato confit pesto, prosciutto San Daniele, and caramelized shallots, and pork guanciale with fig jam and smoked provolone.
Extreme Terroir
The next wine class at East Hampton’s Park Place Wines and Liquors has the tantalizing name of the Edge of Flavor: Wines From Fire, Rock, and Sea. Set for next Thursday at 6 p.m., the class will feature wines from vineyards that cling to volcanic cliffs, are carved into mountain slopes, or battered by ocean winds, according to the shop, which promises to show how extreme environments can impact wine’s character.
Tickets are $45 and nonrefundable.
Prix Fixe Italian Style
Serafina in East Hampton has launched a $40 three-course prix menu for fall that is available Sunday through Thursday. Among the starters are bruschetta with tomatoes, basil, olive oil, and garlic, and fried calamari with spicy tomato dip.
Second courses include spinach ricotta ravioli with butter and sage; grilled salmon with lentils, baby spinach, and béarnaise sauce; chicken paillard with arugula and tomatoes, and pizza with tomato, mozzarella, mushrooms, and spicy sausage.
Desserts include tartufo, tiramisu, cheesecake, and profiteroles.

Mocktails at Fresno
Fresno restaurant in East Hampton has a new lineup of mocktails for the fall. The Pathfinder Sour consists of a non-alcoholic spirit, plus elixir, fresh lemon, and Topo Chico mineral water. Other options include Purple Rain, which has Ghia, a non-alcoholic aperitif, mixed with pomegranate and Topo Chico; Betelgeuse, a blend of beet juice, alcohol-free elderflower, and lime, and the Autumn Hopper, a mix of carrot juice, fresh ginger, and orange juice.
Specials at Elaia Estiatorio
Bridgehampton’s Elaia Estiatorio has a $46 three-course prix fixe menu that is available daily from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The restaurant will also participate in Long Island Restaurant Week, which will happen from Nov. 2 through Nov. 9. A $46 menu will be available every night until closing, except Saturday, when the offer might end at 7 p.m.
Opa Happy Hour takes place daily at the bar from 4:30 to 6:30 and includes $12 select wines, signature cocktails and small plates, and $1 oysters.
New Coffee in Town
Kelly and John Piccinnini, the owners of the Clam Bar on Napeague, have opened Sett Coffee at 136 Main Street in Amagansett. The menu includes a variety of coffees, teas, matcha, pastries, and provisions.
A Mexican Halloween Weekend
Léon 1909 on Shelter Island will host Cantina Léon, a celebration of the restaurant’s cooks from Puebla, Mexico, that will happen from Friday, Oct. 31, through Nov. 2. Among the menu items are tacos al pastor, mole poblano, shrimp ceviche, queso Oaxaqueño, and adobo chicken.
