A Spud Fest paying homage to the Long Island potato and all the things it can become will happen on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the East Hampton Historical Farm Museum.

There will be games and activities for kids, a baked potato lunch, a potato salad and “best-dressed potato” contest (with a $20 per adult entry fee), and a demonstration of equipment used in potato growing.

Contest participants must provide five pounds of potato salad, a recipe listing the ingredients, and a serving utensil. Judging will be from 1 to 3; there will be judges’ choice and people’s choice awards.
