A 5-2 loss last Thursday at Harborfields put East Hampton High School’s boys tennis team out of the county tournament in the quarterfinal round.

Taylor K. Vecsey, a captain with the Bridgehampton Fire Department’s ambulance company, received two awards earlier this month from the Southampton Town Emergency Medical Services Advisory Committee.

Vivian Roberts Moss, a television writer and producer from the early days of the medium, died at home in Amagansett on April 16. She was 99. 

Ms. Moss worked in radio first, in Washington, D.C., as a writer for the government during World War II. When the war ended, she returned to her native New York City and married George Willard, an announcer for WMCA radio.
