Grand Larceny Arrest
A former employee of the Sag Harbor 7-Eleven was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with stealing $1,085 from the store’s cash register. The theft occurred on Aug. 10 and was followed by a month-long investigation. Sag Harbor police said Bernard T. Cooks of Bridgehampton, 33, had been captured on video taking bills from the register, stuffing them into a plastic bag, and tossing the bag into the garbage. He is said to have done this twice.
