The Village True Value hardware store in East Hampton has joined with a sports apparel company to offer a line of sweatshirts, T-shirts, and caps that will benefit first responders and their families.

This year's Amagansett Maritime Heritage Day happens on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day is a collaboration among the Amagansett Library, the Amagansett Life-Saving and Coast Guard Station, the East End Classic Boat Society, and the East Hampton Town Marine Museum.

Hundreds of parishioners gathered at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church on Monday to call on Bishop John O. Barres of the Diocese of Rockville Centre to reverse the decision to end "residence and faculties" for the Rev. Edward Beck, which in turn has led to the departure of the Rev. Bob Joerger.
