Bad Crash in Amagansett
A Friday night motorcycle crash on Bluff Road in Amagansett sent one person to the hospital and another to court.
Cooler Weather, Lower Bacteria Levels
The arrival of relatively cool, dry weather translated into generally low levels of enterococcus bacteria at water-quality test sites around East Hampton Town for the week beginning Oct. 17, said Jaime LeDuc, program manager with Concerned Citizens of Montauk, which monitors for the harmful entero bacteria at nearly three dozen sites in Amagansett, East Hampton, Springs, and Montauk.

The East Hampton Town Trustees' 32nd annual Largest Clam Contest officially ended on Friday, almost two weeks after the event that drew hundreds to the Lamb Building in Amagansett. At their meeting on Monday, the trustees announced both a new venue and a date for next year's contest.
Police Search for Kayaker Missing Off North Haven
Marine units and other law enforcement assets from around the region were on scene Thursday afternoon searching for a 31-year-old Queens man, Dario Cholula, who went missing last night while reportedly fishing the waters off North Haven.
