Nick and Toni’s
Nick and Toni’s will offer a four-course prix fixe dinner on Wednesday in celebration of Christmas Eve. Priced at $145, plus tax and gratuity, the meal will begin with bigeye tuna tartare accompanied by crème frâiche and American caviar.
First courses include castelfranco and roasted baby beet salad with toasted Marcona almonds and champagne vinaigrette; Montauk poached red shrimp with shaved fennel and winter citrus; local littleneck clams with fregola and tomato broth, and ‘nduja arancini with Gorgonzola dolce aioli.
Entrees are North Fork mushroom risotto with winter truffles and Grana Padana; pan-seared halibut with winter squash purée, shaved brussels sprouts, and lemon crème frâiche; short rib ravioli with ricotta and Parmigiano Reggiano crema; codfish baccalà mantecato with braised greens and saffron butter; crispy duck confit with Swiss chard, chicory, and fig agrodolce, and wood-grilled filet mignon with parsnip purée, chanterelle mushrooms, and Marsala.
Dessert choices are ricotta budino with cherry compote and almond crumble; warm pistachio frangipane crostata with honey mascarpone whipped cream, Sicilian pistachios, and pistachio ganache, and chocolate Buche de Noël with caramelized milk chocolate crémeux and chocolate ganache.
Almond
Almond restaurant in Bridgehampton will have its 25th annual Christmas Eve suckling pig roast, served with traditional accompaniments, for $49, not including tax and gratuity. A portion of revenue from Wednesday’s dinner will be donated to OLA of Eastern Long Island.
The regular a la carte menu will also be available. Hours are 5 to 9 p.m.
Feniks
Feniks in Southampton will serve a Taste of Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve. There will be one seating between 6 and 6:30, reservations are required, and the cost is $150, plus tax and gratuity.
The offerings are Montauk pearl oysters with vodka crème frâiche and Siberian caviar; smoked salmon with celery root rémoulade and chive oil; yellow fin tuna tartare and jumbo lump crabmeat with avocado-wasabi mash; seared calamari with piquillo peppers and hummus; steamed black sea bass with udon noodles and ginger-lemongrass broth; grilled lobster and red shrimp sausage with braised cabbage and lobster sauce; pumpkin lobster bisque with butter-poached lobster and chervil, and sautéed striped bass with chorizo and local clams.
It looks more like nine fish, but who’s counting.
Lagniappe
Lucky’s restaurant in East Hampton (in the spot formerly occupied by the Cove Hollow Tavern) has announced a happy hour daily from 5 to 6 p.m. The offerings are $2 oysters, a $16 smash burger, $14 glasses of wine, and, for $12, the “signature martini, poured extra cold and extra smooth tableside.”
