Valentine's Weekend Specials
Lulu Kitchen and Bar in Sag Harbor has dinner specials for two to dine-in or takeout tomorrow through Sunday. A cheese and charcuterie board is $42, a raw bar platter is $95, and a selection of crudites is $31. A $170 three-course dinner comes with a choice of tuna tartare or mussels, lobster pasta or whole fluke, steak tartare or a charcuterie board, and a 40-ounce ribeye or rack of lamb, plus a Bibb lettuce salad, garlic kale, and a chocolate hazelnut tart or a cookie plate. A $250 surf and turf dinner includes steak tartare, tuna tartare, a ribeye, a grilled two-pound lobster, ratatouille, macaroni and cheese, a Bibb lettuce salad, garlic kale, and the same dessert choice. For those ordering take out, there is a 25 percent discount on wines. Orders must be placed at least 12 hours in advance. 

At Coche Comedor in Amagansett, the a la carte specials for dine-in or takeout on Sunday are a grilled jumbo shrimp with frijoles charros appetizer for $17, a black sea bass entree with purple sweet potatoes for $29, and a passion fruit flan dessert for $11. A $14 specialty cocktail is made with tequila, raspberry, agave, lemon juice, and egg white. 

Calissa in Water Mill has a special a la carte dinner menu -- heavy on valentine colors -- tomorrow through Sunday. Beet and walnut hummus is $14, a blood orange salad with shaved fennel, bulls blood beets, and hazelnuts is $19, tuna tartare with a tomato and red onion relish, pomegranate seeds, and pita chips is $22, herb-roasted filet mignon with Greek-style lobster macaroni and cheese with orzo and feta is $60, and red velvet cake costs $14.  

Ed's Lobster Bar in Sag Harbor will offer a $150 tasting menu for takeout tomorrow through Sunday and a two-course prix fixe dine-in brunch for $45 per person from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday. The takeout menu includes six oysters on the half shell, two mini lobster rolls, two mini Cobb salads, two mini orders of lobster macaroni and cheese, two chocolate-covered strawberries, and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne. The brunch menu features New England clam chowder, fried calamari, a brisket burger, fish or chicken tacos, a lobster and cheese omelette, and a lobster roll, and two complimentary glasses of Christie Brinkley's Belissima brand of Prosecco are included.

Highway Restaurant and Bar in East Hampton has a $150 dinner of Asian food for two for takeout on Sunday. The menu includes hamachi crudo, four shrimp dumplings, four king crab dumplings, seaweed salad, Asian slaw, a yellow fish curry or stir fry, bok choy, and sticky rice. A bottle of Billecart Salmon Brut Reserve champagne is $58 more.

Say Cheese (or Caviar), Day or Night

Self Provisions, a storefront attached to Cavaniola’s Gourmet Cheese in Sag Harbor, is “always open,” as is proclaimed by an illuminated sign on the wall at the entrance. Two large, brightly lit vending machines dominate the space, with offerings ranging from sea salt crackers and slabs of French butter to jars of caviar and curated gift boxes — and, of course, cheese.
