Valentine’s Day Special

In addition to the many Valentine’s Day offerings listed here in last week’s paper, Bell and Anchor in Noyac will have Valentine’s Day dinner specials tomorrow including $1 oysters, prosecco for $10 a glass, and champagne for $15 a glass.

At Carissa’s

Helen Nguyen, a chef who has work­ed at Daniel Boulud’s restaurant in New York and is known for adding a modern twist to classic Vietnamese cuisine, will offer a five-course dinner plus hors d’oeuvres and desserts at a pop-up at Carissa’s Bakery on Pantigo Road in East Hampton at 7 p.m. tomorrow through Sunday. The cost is $100 per person. For reservations, send an email to [email protected].

The email should include a preferred day, number of guests, and a phone num­ber. There is a six-person maximum per party.

Carissa’s Bakery in East Hampton Village and on Pantigo Road will be closed for a winter break from Tuesday through March 5.

Reopening

Inlet Seafood in Montauk will reopen for the 2020 season tomorrow. For Presidents Day weekend, the restaurant will be open through Monday evening, serving lunch from noon to 4 p.m. and dinner from 4:30. On subsequent weekends it will be open Friday through Sunday for lunch and dinner.

The Sweet Smell of Nostalgia at Sagaponack General

Stepping into the new Sagaponack General Store, which reopened yesterday after being closed since 2020, is a sweet experience, and not just because there’s a soft-serve ice cream station on the left and what promises to be the biggest penny candy selection on the South Fork on your right, but because it’s like seeing an old friend who, after some struggle, made it big. Really, really big.
