With demand for Covid-19 vaccinations continuing to be high, East Hampton Town has added several additional vaccination clinics to its calendar this month. 

The South Fork Wind farm, which would be New York State’s first offshore wind farm, took another major step forward on Wednesday when the federal Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management issued a favorable Record of Decision, a move that concludes the project’s federal environmental review. 

Two cousins who are members of the Gosman family of Montauk pleaded guilty in federal court in Central Islip on Thursday to one felony count of criminal conspiracy for their role in a scheme to purchase illegal fluke and black sea bass from a Montauk fisherman, the federal Department of Justice announced on Thursday.

The U.S. Department of Labor has ordered Dune Resorts and Ocean Bay Management, hotel management companies based in East Hampton, to pay $210,000 in back wages and penalties for violating terms of the H-2B guest worker visa program in 2017 and 2018.

Citing the highly transmissible Delta variant of Covid-19, East Hampton Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc announced Thursday that the town board will return to virtual meetings as of Tuesday.
