Footage of Justin Timberlake’s adjudicated June 2024 drunken-driving arrest in Sag Harbor will soon be released in redacted form, according to court documents filed Friday by the pop star’s lawyers.

Tears were shed on both sides of the courtroom when the driver in a June 2025 Springs car accident that killed one teenager and injured six others was sentenced in Suffolk County Criminal Court in Riverhead on Wednesday.

Update: East Hampton Town police have identified a man found dead in Clearwater Beach in Springs on Tuesday, and said his death did not appear to be suspicious.

Buried beneath the budgets and bond updates at the East Hampton School Board meeting Tuesday was the announcement nobody wanted to hear: The district's athletic director, Kathy Masterson, is retiring at the end of this school year. 

A former vice president and co-treasurer of the Sag Harbor P.T.A. was arrested Tuesday on charges that she stole more than $10,000 from P.T.A. bank accounts.

Suffolk County has issued a travel ban on top of its blizzard warning for Sunday night through at least midday Monday, with snow totals of 15 to 20 inches possible and high winds expected. East Hampton Town declared a state of emergency and has extended its travel ban through 9 p.m. Monday.

The Pierson Capital Improvement Project, the Sag Harbor School District’s $40 million bond to renovate the high school, passed overwhelmingly Thursday night, 765 to 169.

Montauk residents voted overwhelmingly Tuesday to approve a 20-year, $34.8 million bond that will fund an extensive renovation of the Montauk School.

Update: A female pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident on Main Street in Amagansett Friday afternoon. The subsequent investigation closed the road for hours. 

It was by most accounts one of the best football seasons in Bonac history — and by all accounts, the best in recent memory. The East Hampton football team saw its historic run come to an end on Friday in the Suffolk County Division III semifinals, losing to Sayville 28-14.
