Works in Progress

In Process @ the Watermill Center will feature presentations by four resident artists working across a variety of disciplines on Saturday afternoon from 2 to 4. While at the center, Sasha Wortzel, an artist and filmmaker, will be developing “River of Grass,” a film and installation about the Florida Everglades and its legacy of colonization and development.

During her residency, Dawn Kasper, an interdisciplinary artist, is working on “The Bells,” a kinetic sound sculpture that will include a chandelier of individual bells.

A performance diptych by Ni’Ja Whitson, a gender nonconforming/trans interdisciplinary artist, will explore blackness, astral geographies, shape-shifting technologies, and futurity. Emily Furr, a visual artist, will show “Microcosms: Works on Paper,” a series of small collages that use paper ephemera, paint, graphite, and ink.

In Process is free, but reservations through the center’s website are required.

Vocal Trio

The Art of Song series of jazz concerts hosted by Jane Hastay and Peter Martin Weiss will welcome Duchess, a vocal trio in the tradition of the Andrews Sisters and the Boswell Sisters, tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at the East Hampton Presbyterian Church’s Session House.

Known for their tight harmonies, the trio, which consists of Amy Cervini, Hilary Gardner, and Melissa Stylianou, will be accompanied by Ms. Hastay on piano and Mr. Weiss on bass. Tickets are $25.
