Montauk’s 64th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, happening at noon on March 29, is free to all. Two popular pre-parade events are likely to sell out, however, so those interested have been advised to secure tickets.

The John Behan Grand Marshal Luncheon will be held on March 27 at noon at Montauk Downs. Thomas Grenci Jr., a lifelong resident of the hamlet and this year’s grand marshal, will be introduced, roasted, and presented with a parade sash, top hat, and shillelagh. Tickets are available by calling 631-235-3991 or 631-848-2368.

On March 28, the annual cocktail party will run from 4 to 8 p.m. at Gurney’s Montauk Resort and Seawater Spa. Featuring a buffet-style meal and live music from the 12x Band and American Legion Pipes & Drums, it is one of the main fund-raisers for the parade each year. The Montauk Friends of Erin can be contacted at 631-599-8781, 631-335-4122, or [email protected] for tickets.

The Pot of Gold raffle tickets are for sale and can be bought from any member of the Friends of Erin or at montaukfriendsoferin.org/events#GALA. Tickets cost $100, with an additional $5 charge for online sales, and only 500 will be sold. The first prize is $12,000, the second prize is $2,000, and the third and fourth prizes are $1,000 each.
