On the morning of June 23, a Subaru S.U.V. rear-ended a Toyota S.U.V. at Carl Fisher Plaza in Montauk.

B. Morocho Albarracin of Hampton Bays, 20, was driving the Subaru on Montauk Highway when he veered out of the lane toward the shoulder, striking the rear driver’s side of a Toyota parked on the side of the road, according to an East Hampton Town police officer who had reviewed surveillance footage of the incident.

Miguel E. Almonte of Montauk, 58, who was behind the wheel of the Toyota at the time of the collision, was transported by ambulance to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital after complaining of neck pain. The Subaru sustained front-end damage and was towed. Mr. Morocho Albarracin was not injured.

Two other S.U.V.s collided that evening in Wainscott, near the intersection of Highview Drive and Wainscott Northwest Road.

Brynn Y. Crowley of Wainscott, 42, told police an Acura driving in the opposite direction crossed over the double yellow lines and collided with her Toyota head-on. The Acura was driven by Gary Andrew Leitch, 61, of the United Kingdom, who confirmed Ms. Crowley’s account. He was new to driving in the United States, he told police, and had become confused as to which side of the road to drive on.

Ms. Crowley sustained a bruise to her face and was transported by ambulance to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. Mr. Leitch refused medical attention at the scene, and his passengers, Alexander Leitch, 19, and Shaan Popat, 19, were not injured. The collision caused front-end damage to both S.U.V.s, which were towed.

The next evening, in Montauk, Hilda Ramos Guillet, who is 54 and lives in Southampton, was driving a Chevrolet sedan on Montauk Highway, near the intersection of West Lake Drive, when a deer ran into the roadway, she told police, and as she swerved to avoid it her car struck the driver’s side of a Ford pickup truck in the opposite lane. Her car sustained damage to the front and the driver’s side, and she reported pain in her chest but refused medical attention.

The driver of the Ford, Mario Alexander Wilthew of Miami, 32, confirmed Ms. Ramos Guillet’s account. His truck sustained damage along the driver’s side, but neither his passengers, Siobhan Fennessy, 37, and Grayson Chase Canada-Woodstock, 27, nor Mr. Wilthew, were injured.

In other news of the roads, late on Saturday afternoon, Santiago Giminez of East Hampton, 48, was riding an electric bicycle on Springs-Fireplace Road in Springs and “used a hand signal” to indicate that he planned to turn left onto Hartley Boulevard, he said, before he collided with the driver’s side of a Toyota sedan.

Rene J. Galan of East Hampton, 48, the driver of the Toyota, stated that Mr. Giminez had passed his car on the right and then turned into his vehicle without checking for traffic, striking his right-side mirror.

Mr. Giminez reported pain in his back and was transported by ambulance to the Stony Brook East Hampton Emergency Department. Mr. Galan was not injured, nor were his passengers, Gilberto M. Galan Sanchez, 85, and a 3-year-old child.

Convicted Man Given Grace

Darius Petty, who last year was accused of kidnapping and robbing three young men at gunpoint in the parking lot of the East Hampton Senior Center, and was sentenced in June to three years in prison, was released from custody in July for a monthlong “grace period” before his incarceration. On Tuesday, Suffolk Supreme Court Justice Timothy P. Mazzei agreed to extend the time for an additional month.
