A serious accident occurred on Pantigo Road on the afternoon of April 15. Charles Savage of East Hampton, 87, driving a pickup truck, was turning onto Pantigo Road when he collided with a 2015 Mercedes van driven by Brian Bruder Turosz of Lindenhurst, 27. The van rolled over, onto its side.

Mr. Savage told East Hampton Town police that he hadn’t seen the other vehicle coming. Both drivers complained of head pain, and two East Hampton Village ambulances were summoned to take them to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital.

The truck sustained damage to the front driver’s side and was taken by Joe’s Towing to its garage on Three Mile Harbor Road. The van was damaged on both the passenger side and hood, and was towed by Emergency Mechanical Services.
