Newtown Lane will be closed at 5 p.m. Friday, when East Hampton Village holds a block party and New York Knicks watch party.

The community celebration will feature a giant screen on which Game 2 of the N.B.A. finals will be projected, with the Knicks playing the San Antonio Spurs in San Antonio. The game starts at 8:30.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Knicks fans have been encouraged to wear blue and orange to the family-friendly event.
