Two bicyclists were involved in collisions in Montauk on the evening of Aug. 14.

Frank Siciliano of Princeton, N.J., 77, was headed west on Montauk Highway in a 2017 Audi when he collided with an eastbound cyclist, Dean Ervin of New York City, 64, as the biker was passing the highway’s intersection with Old Montauk Highway. The car was attempting to turn left onto Old Montauk when the accident occurred. The report does not say whether Mr. Ervin sustained injuries.

About an hour later, Giovanni Padin of New York City, 42, was biking north against traffic on Flamingo Avenue when he collided with a 2006 Chevy driven by Todd Smith of Amagansett, 59, who was turning left onto Fleming Road. The bicycle hit the driver’s-side door while the Chevy was making its turn.

The injured cyclist briefly lost consciousness and told police he did not remember what had happened. Again, the report ended without his having described his injuries or saying whether he was taken to the hospital.

Three Hurt in Two Collisions

A Nissan sedan collided with a Range Rover on Amagansett’s Main Street, and in Springs it was a BMW and a Buick.
