Three men, all of them intoxicated, refused to leave La Fondita on the evening of Sept. 15, police said this week. When the manager asked them to leave the Montauk Highway restaurant, they argued with her, demanding to order alcoholic beverages, which she refused. When police arrived, the men hid in the bushes. One man tried to get behind the wheel of a parked car, but police stopped him. Another was found passed out in the picnic area. No criminal charges were filed.

East Hampton Village

Several sections of picket fence at the South End Cemetery near the intersection of James Lane and Mill Road were found damaged at about 2:40 a.m. on Nov. 19. Police found a tire track in the grass near the damaged fencing. The village’s Public Works Department was notified.

Gunshots were reported in the area of Jones Road on Saturday morning around 7. Police searched the area, but advised the caller that duck-hunting season had just opened.

A 24-year-old Montauk woman reported a road rage incident on Saturday morning. She told police she was stopped on Pantigo Road waiting for traffic to clear so she could merge into the lane headed for North Main Street, when a vehicle passed her on her right, crossing over the double-yellow line, almost causing an accident. The other driver got out of his car and yelled at her, saying he was in a rush to attend a funeral, before getting back in the car and driving off. The woman was shaken up over the incident and wanted it on record.

Montauk

Thelma A. Kelly, who is in the process of moving back to Liverpool, N.Y., from Montauk, reported more than $15,000 worth of jewelry missing on Nov. 16, though she knows who has it. Her belongings include a white-gold engagement ring with a two-carat diamond, worth $10,000; a gold ring with seven diamonds, worth $5,000; a white-gold ring with two medium-size diamonds and multiple small diamonds, worth $1,000; a white-gold ring with four diamonds, worth $500, and a gold and jade necklace, worth $1,000. Ms. Kelly has a lawyer who is working on getting the items returned to her, and told police she would not pursue criminal charges.

Sag Harbor

Lora Tucker parked her 2006 Chevrolet on Main Street on Nov. 18 and returned to find the passenger-side window’s rear frame bent backward and the window seal broken. An L.G.B.T. sticker was “knocked off the window,” she told police.

Gunshots were reported in the area of Brandywine Drive and Route 114 on Friday afternoon. Jon Schoen told police he thought it sounded like two shots from a shotgun or rifle. Later, he called back to say someone had seen two men fire shots into the woods on Horizon Drive and then take off in a car at high speed.

Marc Payot, a village resident, filed a report on Sunday after $30,000 was taken from his Chase bank account. He told police he had been notified by email that his online password had been changed on Friday, and when he logged in, he found the money had been taken, in three separate checks. The bank froze his account and told him to file a claim and he would be reimbursed.

Police responded to the East Hampton I.G.A. shortly after 5 p.m. on April 1 after the manager called in a report of an “unwanted guest.” After an investigation, a 38-year-old man was arrested and charged with two counts of petty larceny: one for taking 24 cans of beer and leaving without paying for them; the other for taking a white Huffy bicycle that did not belong to him.
