Seek Help in Merch Theft

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and finding a woman who stole approximately $6,000 in merchandise from a Southampton Village grocery store last month. 

According to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and village police, the woman stole cosmetics and other merchandise from Stop and Shop on Jagger Lane on Feb. 10 around 4:30 p.m. Her photograph can be seen with this story on The Star’s website.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information can submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. Text messages to the Southampton Village police can be sent to CRIMES (274637), and emails can be sent through tipsubmit.com. All calls, text messages, and emails will be kept confidential.
