Pricey Haul in Bridgehampton

Thu, 05/23/2019 - 06:26

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the people who burglarized a Bridgehampton house in December and made off with a number of items, including a Breguet Marine watch worth thousands of dollars.

Surveillance video shows four people entering the house on Ocean Road at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Dec. 8. The Swiss timepiece they snatched has a serial number of 5071 and retails for between $15,000 and $35,000. The men’s watch is made of stainless steel, with Roman numerals for the hours. The watch’s owner is offering a reward of $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Suffolk County and Southampton Town police have asked anyone with information about the burglary to submit a tip by calling Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS, texting SCPD and your message to CRIMES (274637), or by email at tipsubmit.com. All calls, texts, and emails will be kept confidential.
