Twenty-five day lilies were stolen from a Leeton Road property sometime in March or April, according to Anthony Aronica, the property owner. Police said it appeared the flowers were removed a while ago, as there were no shovel marks and some new growth.

East Hampton Village

Police who were on duty during Saturday’s street fair on Newtown Lane were summoned to a Suffolk County Transit bus that stopped on Newtown after a passenger went into cardiac arrest. Detective Brian Eldridge and Officer Sean Christensen performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation and used an automated external defibrillator to resuscitate the woman. Her condition was not known as of press time.

Twelve vehicles belonging to a construction crew were parked on Huntting Lane on the afternoon of May 7, impeding the flow of traffic. An officer spoke to the contractor at a nearby construction site and advised him that all vehicles needed to be moved to the shoulder.

On Friday morning, construction vehicles were parked on West End Road near a house under construction. After police spoke to the contractor, the vehicles were moved to the Georgica Beach lot.

A highly intoxicated man was reported on Newtown Lane on May 8 at about 6:15 p.m. Police escorted him back to his residence.

A Pantigo Road resident called police on Friday, saying he was being overcharged for two cars delivered to his house from Florida. He claimed the price had changed after he complained about the company’s lack of professionalism, but the transporter said he was charged $1 per pound extra because the car was loaded with personal items and luggage. After the East Hampton man agreed to pay the full amount, the vehicles were taken off the truck and delivered.

A woman heard screaming on Collins Avenue brought a visit from police at about 10 p.m. on Friday. Police spoke to a man and his daughter, who said she’d gotten locked out of the house and was screaming to get her parents’ attention to let her back in.

Montauk

A fight broke out last Thursday morning, just before 7, aboard the Suffolk County Transit bus while it was on South Euclid Avenue. When police arrived the parties were separated and arguing about a wallet. One man said the other had stolen his wallet; the other denied it, though he told police the two had “bumped into” each other and that the wallet’s owner had punched him in the face. Police later found the wallet on the air pump at the Citgo station, where the accuser had stopped to fill his bicycle tires before getting on the bus. No charges were filed.

Sag Harbor Village

Possible gunshots were reported in the vicinity of Maidstone and Susan Streets last Thursday evening around 9:30. Police searched the area but found nothing.

John Apuzzo left his wood chipper outside his Yale Road house on Satuday after working with it for a while, and later found that the ignition wires had been cut.

Police rescued trapped ducklings from a storm drain on Bay Street on Monday evening.

Springs

A woman on Waterhole Road called police to report $22,000 had been stolen from her bank account, but she could not provide police with her statement and later said it was $15,000. While police were at her house, she called her bank, yelled at them, and then ended the call, saying they should call back at another time. Police told her to find the pertinent paperwork and file a report.
