The Young Adult Ministry at the First Baptist Church of Bridgehampton will hold a voter registration drive on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at the Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center.
Anyone who wants to vote in the upcoming general election is welcome to wear a mask and observe social distancing at 551 Sag Harbor Turnpike in Bridgehampton in order to complete the registration process.
For dog owners on the South Fork, the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons Stroll to the Sea is usually among the most anticipated events of Columbus Day weekend, but this year, like so many other things, the popular fund-raising event will go virtual.
The homeowners selected from among more than 30 applicants across the county will be Anthony LaFountain and Cheyenne Banville, volunteer first responders with the Springs Fire Department. Mr. LaFountain and Ms. Banville live in Springs and work in East Hampton.
The call came in that a dog lost at sea needed rescuing. He was 300 yards out between Egypt and Wiborg's Beaches in East Hampton and it looked like he was going to go under.
