The East Hampton Town Police Department has announced that school crossing guard positions are available.

The Turtle Rescue of the Hamptons organization informed Mayor Jerry Larsen on Saturday that the group had recently spotted turtles in the pond. They asked to have the dredging delayed so that other turtles, including hatchlings, could be safely removed.

East Hampton’s Ladies Village Improvement Society shops reopened on Saturday morning with new spring merchandise as well as new safety measures in light of the continuing Covid-19 pandemic. 

Village police said the arrest followed a months-long investigation. The defendant turned himself in on Wednesday.
