Montauk United will hold a town meeting with the current East Hampton Town Board members regarding the possible closing of East Hampton Airport and its ramifications for Montauk on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Montauk Firehouse.

A student who brought a BB gun to East Hampton High School on Thursday was "immediately removed" from campus by administrators and a town police resource officer.

Kevin John Keane of East Hampton, an educator who worked for many years with deaf and hearing-impaired students, died of complications of multiple myeloma on Sept. 27 at the Kanas Center for Hospice Care in Quiogue. He was 74.
