Guild Hall will host a solo dance performance by Lloyd Knight, a celebration by Marc Shaiman of his new memoir, and a panel discussion about the idolatry of growth.

Coming to The Church is “This Land: Considering the American Landscape,” a show of artistic responses to the nation’s landscapes ranging from the Hudson River School to the present.

Some highlights of the summer’s live music on the South Fork include Steve Earle and Dawes at the Talkhouse, Brandi Carlile at the Montauk Lighthouse, Lyle Lovett at the Clubhouse, and Snoop Dogg at the Surf Lodge.

Joe Garsetti will bring magic and illusion to LTV with two performances Saturday, and Dan Welden will be there Sunday to unveil his new sculpture.
