Elite Avenues School Plans East Hampton 'Studio Campus'

Canio's Books and Canio's Cultural Cafe will host a number of book-related Zoom events this week. Tomorrow at 5 p.m. the poets Paul Genega and Maggie Bloomfield and novelist Paul Rabinowitz will read from their new work, Mr. Genega from his collection "Moordener Kill," Ms. Bloomfield from her "Sleepless Nights," and Mr. Rabinowitz from his first novella, "The Clay Urn." The meeting links can be found online at canios.wordpress.com. Participants have been asked to "arrive" five minutes before the start time. The program will also be live-streamed on Facebook.
Common applications. Art school portfolios. The Naviance college-match system. The Ross School administration knows there are so many nuances and questions about the college application process that it decided to open up its counseling program to the students from outside Ross as well.
“We have never done that before,” said Andi O’Hearn, director of advancement and operations at the Ross School, who suggested that the rising juniors and seniors in general may not have easy access to their guidance counselors, who are probably extremely busy, right now.
Christopher Louis Ehring, a former executive director of LTV, East Hampton’s public access television station, died of metastatic penile cancer at home in West Barnstable, Mass., on May 8. The longtime Springs resident was 73, and had been ill for 11 weeks.
