When the 2025 International Surf Rescue Challenge gets going in New Zealand this week, a quarter of the United States Lifesaving Association Youth National Team will hail from the South Fork.

Zane Karoussos, an East Hampton High School junior, has already committed to the admissions process at Cornell University for lacrosse. “Being there with the coaches and the team, I knew it was the right fit and I committed on the spot."
