In light of New York State's legalization of marijuana, which Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo signed on March 31, the Town of Southampton is considering how to regulate its retail sale and use at cafés and lounges, specifics that are left to the discretion of local municipalities.
"We're grateful that the small fire at the restaurant last week caused only minimal damage and everyone is safe, thanks to our local firefighters who acted quickly," a spokesperson for the restaurant said yesterday. "We're working closely with the Town of East Hampton . . . to reopen better than ever by Memorial Day weekend. We'll know the exact date shortly of our reopening next week, and will share on @mobysny once we're able to confirm."
East Hampton and Sag Harbor Villages will begin charging for some prime parking spaces in their commercial districts in the coming days, and both will use ParkMobile, a smartphone app-based payment service.
