The East Hampton Trails Preservation Society has organized a moderate hike of slightly more than two miles on Wednesday that will include a private tour of the Folly Tree Arboretum in Springs.
Founded in 2013 by Tucker Marder as a cultural archive of trees, the arboretum is dedicated to ecological storytelling and promoting an environmental ethic through art and science. Mr. Marder will lead the tour on Wednesday.
Local musicians will be performing for free on the Montauk Green every Monday from next week through September, courtesy of the Montauk Chamber of Commerce. Music fans are encouraged to take dinner, refreshments, and a blanket or beach chair. Starting off this series Monday at 6 is Joe Delia and Friends.
Historic cars can be seen on the grounds of the Bridgehampton Museum’s Nathaniel Rogers House from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in a show called “Fast Company.” Aside from the full-size cars, you can check out slot car races on a custom track designed to match the old raceway at the Bridge.
In what will be the latest start for any full moon walk this year, at 9 Friday night you can take a leisurely hike courtesy of the South Fork Natural History Museum and the Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt behind the museum.
