No Sailor, a five-piece folk band led by the singer-songwriter Kieran Garvey, is returning to the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett for a performance Friday night at 8. Also on Friday, the band will debut its latest single, “Tactless Butcher,” the fifth song from its upcoming album, “Anchor Broken Free.”

Opening for the band is a local born-and-raised artist, Reilly Rose, whose musical style is a blend of pop, indie, and folk. She will also join the band for duets later on in the evening.

Joining Mr. Garvey's set will be Morgan Tracey on bass, Ryan Sherman on drums, and Jack Marshall on violin. Lovers of vinyl may recognize Mr. Marshall from his work at Innersleeve Records in Amagansett.

The song “Tactless Butcher,” with cover art from Scott Bluedorn of Sag Harbor, “centers around the impending karma one feels is coming after a bad breakup,” according to a press release.

“I like to joke that it’s a ‘romantic revenge noir folk song,’” Mr. Garvey said in the release. “A newer genre of folk that is sadly underrepresented, like murder ballads. Well, actually… I guess it is a murder ballad. Well, attempted murder ballad, if that’s even a thing.”

Tickets for the show are $20 and can be purchased on the Stephen Talkhouse website. “Tactless Butcher” will be available on all music streaming platforms.
