The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons kicked off a two-week-long online auction on Thursday in partnership with Christie’s and hosted by Charitybuzz to benefit the pet adoption center in East Hampton.

“In lieu of a designer show, we came up with the concept of an online auction drawn from ARF’s extended family of friends and supporters, and bringing beautiful and unique pieces of custom furniture, art, and antiques together for a single sale,” Alex Papachristidis, who is on the nonprofit's board of directors, said in an announcement.

Longtime friends and ARF adopters are donating furniture and decorative items available for online bidding at charitybuzz.com/arfhamptons until March 11.

Highlights of more than 120 donations include a contemporary, hand-blown green glass vase made in the Venini workshop by Peter Marino; a pair of large cork obelisks handmade by Marian McEvoy; a custom-made Alexa Hampton two-tiered black and gold ash contemporary coffee table; and a Dodie Thayer Lettuce Ware tea service by Tory Burch.
