Sharing the Harvest
The stand at East Hampton’s Share the Harvest Farm opens Thursday on Long Lane. The farm has announced that Nikki Glick of the late, lamented Nikki’s Not Dogs is now the farm stand’s chef. Glick will bring her vegan favorites to the stand, among them chili, broccoli salad, potato salad, and pies, and will create new dishes featuring the farm’s produce, including hummus, green goddess dip and dressing, Caesar salad, and pestos. Samples of her vegan Key lime pie will be offered to visitors this weekend.
Opening weekend produce will include a lettuce mix, radishes, asparagus, fresh herbs, carrots, green garlic, and more. Also available will be offerings from Aki’s Kitchen, NoFo Pot Pies, Springs Salt, and Jamagansett.
Farm stand hours are Thursday through Saturday, 10 to 6, and Sunday, 10 to 5.
French-Indonesian Fare
Cédric and Ochi Vongerichten, the duo behind the Manhattan French-Indonesian restaurants Wayan and Ma-Dé, will open their East End outpost next Thursday for their second season at EHP Resort and Marina in Springs. It will remain open through Sept. 7.
Among the menu items are shrimp satays with dabu-dabu and lime; mango salad with cherry tomato, cashew, and lime vinaigrette; escargot Rendang with toasted brioche, garlic-herb butter and lime; corn fritters with sweet chili sauce and scallion, and lobster noodles with black pepper sauce.
New in Montauk
Alba Spiaggia, a new restaurant with a coastal Italian ambience, will open Friday at the Montauk Yacht Club. The restaurant is the latest offering from Prince Street Hospitality, which has restaurants in Manhattan and Los Angeles.
Among the offerings are crudos, salads, wood-fired pizza, grilled fish, antipasti, and handmade pasta, all cooked over an open fire. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner.
