Slow Food East End will host a Sunday Supper potluck dinner in Remsenburg.

Sunday Potluck Supper

Slow Food East End is hosting an evening of shared dishes, lively conversation, and inspiration on Sunday from 4 to 7 at the Remsenburg Academy at 130 South Country Road in that hamlet.

The evening will include a brief welcome and overview of the work of Slow Food East End; opportunities to connect with local farmers, producers, and neighbors; a shared potluck meal featuring seasonal, locally inspired dishes, and a preview of upcoming programs and how to get involved.

Attendees have been asked to take a dish to share that will serve six to eight people, plus utensils; a plate, cutlery, cup, and beverage, and a label for the potluck dish that lists ingredients and whether it contains meat, seafood, dairy, nuts, or gluten.

A $20 donation helps support the organization’s local programs, educational events, and partnerships with East End growers and producers. Space is limited and advance registration on the Slow Food East End website’s events page is required.

Napa vs. Bordeaux

The Napa vs. Bordeaux wine tasting at Park Place Wines and Liquors is sold out. The next class, set for March 12 at 6 p.m., will focus on the wines of the Rhone and Southern France.

This article has been changed from its print version because the next Park Place Wines and Liquors tasting sold out after the section went to press.
